Convention Committee

Events are held for Nar-Anon members to celebrate their recovery and to share their experience, strength, and hope. Groups, areas, and regions, hold many different types of events throughout the year. Whether it is a small group holding a Spiritual Breakfast; an area or region holding an all-day or weekend event; or a convention in cooperation with Narcotics Anonymous, each takes time to plan and organize.

The FL Region, in coordination & cooperation with NA @ FRCNA, hosts an annual convention in Orlando the weekend of the 4th of July.  Details of various conventions held throughout the region, please visit the Events & News webpage.  For more information or to join, please contact the Covention Committee Chairperson.

Helpline

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Helpline. The helpline assists callers in finding a meeting or to make sure of whether a meeting is open or closed on a holiday.

If you need help finding a meeting or are unsure of whether a meeting is open or closed on a holiday, please contact the Outreach Helpline at 1-888-947-8885.  The helpline is not for reporting emergencies. In case of emergency, the proper authorities should be notified.

Literature Committee

The Literature committee meets electronically twice a month - on the 1st and 3rd Monday.  Contact the Region Chair for more information.

Narateen Committee

Narateen (about Narateen) webpage

Narateen is a recovery program for young people whose family and friends are suffering from the disease of addiction based on the Twelve Steps,Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of Nar-Anon.

Because Narateen members are minors, there are special considerations needed to make sure their meeting is a safe space for them to share their experience, strength and hope. The Nar-Anon World Service Office has provided some guidelines through the Narateen Safety Guidelines, the Guide to Local Services (GLS), and the Guide to World Services (GWS).  The Florida Region Narateen Safety Policy and Guidelines rev. 03/2023 (and are part of the FLRG, FL Region Guidelines) provides further policies and guidelines for our region.

Currently the Narateen Committee meets via teleconference on the 3rd Thursday of the month - every other month.  Contact the Narateen Committee Chairperson for more information.
